PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Matt Lampson, CHI v. NE ($5,600): A Chicago stack looks to be in the cards for Saturday's MLS slate. Chicago has allowed just one goal in its two games against the Revs this season, posting a 3-0 rout over New England at Toyota Stadium in April. Jorge Bava started in net for the Fire in that one, but Lampson will be given the nod on Saturday, as Bava is out with elbow tendinitis.

DEFENDER

Joevin Jones, SEA at MIN ($6,800): Jones is set to join SV Darmstadt 98 in the January 2018 transfer window. His potential as an attacking fullback has finally been recognized by Europe, and now he has a few months prove why he is heading to Germany. He can play as a left winger as part of the attacking unit, or as a fullback who gets up the field consistently. He filled in as a left winger against the Los Angeles Galaxy with Nouhou Tolo playing at left back. Tolo has played well there and provides an excellent backup for Jones, if Jones plays as an attacker. Jones' price is very high, but if he plays at left wing against a very poor Minnesota defense, he may very well hit value.

Matt Polster, CHI v. NE ($4,700): If you are planning on going with the chalk option of Lampson at goalkeeper, it would be wise to stack a Fire defender along with him. In case of the clean sheet, both the defender and the goalkeeper would earn a bonus, which is a huge boost to your chances of getting over the line that separates the losers from the winners.

Ryan Hollingshead, DAL at PHI ($3,800): Hollingshead hadn't played much this season, but all of a sudden he has two straight 10-point performances. Starting left-back Maynor Figueroa was suspended last match due to yellow card accumulation, which means he is likely to return to the fold. However, Hollingshead is a very versatile player who can play many positions other than left-back. He could feature at right-back or even as a winger, which would make him a near-lock Saturday.

MIDFIELDER

Blerim Dzemaili, MTL v. ORL ($9,200): Dzemaili's fantasy production has decreased in recent weeks, but you can chalk it up to difficult matches. Two of Dzemaili's three down games were on the road, and the home match was against the strong midfield of FC Dallas. He gets an easier matchup this week against Orlando City, who has conceded 13 goals in the last seven matches.

Michael Barrios, DAL at PHI ($6,200): Barrios has produced consistently under the radar over the past couple months. He has recorded double-digit totals in four of his last 10 matches, and he has earned nine points in each of his past two. Not to mention, he's currently tied for the most assists in 2017 with 10. His consistent crosses and steady production of shots make for a relatively high floor, while his ability to set up a goal offers a fairly high ceiling.

Fafa Picault, PHI v. DC ($5,500): Picault has only failed to reach double-digits in three of his past 10 starts, and he has five goals and an assist in just 12 starts this season. He is a similar player to Barrios, though he plays on the opposite flank. He is a speed demon, and he looks to be one of the best things the Union have going for them in what has been a dismal year.

FORWARD

Sebastian Giovinco, TOR at DC ($12,100): If there is one player who is not fazed by a matchup on the road, it is "La Formica Atomica." He is the one player in this slate that can explode for 30 fantasy points with no problem, and leave the managers who faded him crying. Sometimes Giovinco has a night when it is nearly impossible to cash without rostering him.

David Accam, CHI v. NE ($9,000): The Chicago stack continues with the Fire's dynamic attacking duo. 28 of the Fire's 40 goals this season have been scored by Accam or Nemanja Nikolic. Accam is the more dynamic, and probably safer of the two, but both make for excellent plays against a weak New England defense.

Nemanja Nikolic, CHI v. NE ($8,400): Nikolic is the more goal-dependent forward between he and Accam, but that doesn't mean he won't score. It must be noted that in Chicago's 3-0 rout over New England earlier this year, the Revs were forced to play a man down for more than an hour. However, the Fire are a more confident unit going into this match three-plus months later, and it is hard to see Chicago going for anything less than a win. Nikolic has three goals in two games this season against the Revs, including two the 10-man side. He just played 45 minutes against Real Madrid in the MLS All-Star Game, but count it as a workout, especially because the game was played in Chicago.
