Straus was injured in a motorcycle accident last weekend, and although there has been no word on the severity of his condition, he is awake, able to speak and has full mobility of his limbs, Marc Raimondi of MMAFighting.com reports.

The accident occurred Sunday morning, and Straus is currently recovering at a hospital in Florida. It appears as though the two-time Bellator featherweight champion does not have recollection of the incident at this time. Drops second straight fight at Bellator 184
Straus lost to Sanchez via submission (triangle choke) at 1:56 of Round 3 at Bellator 184 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.

Straus came out as he always does. He closed the distance and worked for the takedown. This is usually his path to victory, but against Sanchez it proved to be his undoing. Sanchez had multiple answers for Straus on the ground. In the first round, Sanchez threatened with a tight kneebar. In the second round, he swept Straus, took the mount and nearly finished with punches from the mount. In the final round, Straus scored yet another takedown. Sanchez was once again ready. He locked in an opposite side triangle choke and finished the fight. Straus will need to go back to the drawing board after this one. This was the fourth bout between these two fighters, and while all praise goes to Pitbull for the performance, the quick finish seems like an unsatisfying end to the rivalry.
