Routed in return from long layoff
LightweightUFC
May 14, 2022
Camacho lost to Manuel Torres via TKO (punches) at 3:27 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 36 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Camacho's first fight in nearly two years did not go well. Quickly and consistently overwhelmed on the feet by Torres, Frank attempted five takedowns in the fight, failing on all of them. The finish came when Camacho found himself on the receiving end of a perfect one-two combo which dropped him. It was a good stoppage from referee Herb Dean, as it would have only gotten worse from there. Camacho has fought just six times since January 2018, but he's 1-5 in those bouts with four stoppage defeats. It would be extremely surprising to see the UFC give him another opportunity after this latest lopsided setback.

To welcome Manuel Torres to Octagon
LightweightUFC
May 1, 2022
Camacho will return to the Octagon to face Manual Torres in a lightweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for May 14, CC Legaspi of ESPN Deportes reports.
ANALYSIS
Camacho hasn't fought since June of 2020 due to injuries sustained in a car accident, but he's now set for his eighth official walk to the Octagon, where he'll welcome a Contender Series product in Torres. Camacho was known as a pure brawler prior to his long layoff, as he averaged 6.67 significant strikes landed per minute, but also at a ridiculously high 7.31 significant strikes per minute. That led to just a 2-5 record with the company, although it's worth noting he faced a murderer's row of lightweights that included Beneil Dariush, Geoff Neal and Drew Dober. Still, it could be last call for Camacho if he suffers a third consecutive defeat.

Camacho was injured in a car accident, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Camacho was supposed to fight Matt Frevola at UFC 263, but this unfortunate situation has caused Terrance McKinney to take his place. According to reports, Camacho's injuries are not believed to be serious or life threatening, which is the best news. It's unclear how much longer Camacho will be forced to stay out of the Octagon for.
Pulls out of UFC 263 matchup
LightweightUFC
June 8, 2021
Camacho is reportedly out of his UFC 263 matchup against Matt Frevola due to undisclosed reasons, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Camcho and Frevola were initially set to take the Octagon last June, but the fight was ultimately scrapped after one of Frevola's cornermen tested positive for COVID-19. Camacho then got a replacement opponent in Justin Jaynes, but missed weight by two pounds and proceeded to get finished in the first round. He then was forced to pull out of a scheduled matchup against Brok Weaver in September. Details on the situation are sparse, but it's unclear how much more patience the UFC will have with the lightweight fighter.
Taking on Frevola in June
LightweightUFC
April 17, 2021
Camacho will take on Matt Frevola in a lightweight bout at UFC 263 on June 12, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be Camacho's first fight since last June when he lost to Justin Jaynes. He's lost four of his past five bouts, so he'll look to turn things around against Matt Frevola, who is coming off a loss of his own to Arman Tsarukyan in Janury.
Pulls out of fight Saturday
LightweightUFC
September 10, 2020
Camacho has withdrawn from Saturday's fight against Brok Weaver for an undisclosed reason, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Camacho had previously fought in June when he lost to Justin Jaynes via TKO. Weaver will now take on Jalin Turner on short notice this Saturday. It's not clear at this point when Camacho will be able to return to the Octagon.
