FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Robin Lehner, BUF vs OTT ($7,200): Lehner has been seeing a ton of shots (an average of (44.3 to be exact) in his last three starts and has only allowed eight goals for a .939 save percentage over this stretch. With Ottawa averaging just 2.71 goals per game and losing three of their last four (while going 1-8-1 in their last ten), Lehner has a ton of upside Tuesday.

Center

Alexander Wennberg, CBJ vs EDM ($4,900): Wennberg has taken a major step back from last season due to injury and general poor play. He's skating on the third line and second power-play unit these days, but at his salary he's a viable play tonight. The Oilers have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to centers over the last four weeks with 19 goals and 21 assists allowed (13 games).

Ryan O'Reilly, BUF vs OTT ($5,400): O'Reilly is quietly having a solid season with seven goals and 12 assists while anchoring the second line for the Sabres. The matchup sets up well for him, as the Senators have allowed the ninth most fantasy points to centers over the last month. With 16 goals and 16 assists allowed over that 12-game span, O'Reilly is set for a productive night at home.

Wing

Reilly Smith, VGK vs CAR ($5,600): In the Golden Knights' inaugural season, they have impressed with an average of 3.48 goals per game, which is the third highest mark in the league. Smith has been a great addition, racking up 22 points in 29 games. He has double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games and the matchup is solid against Carolina, which is playing its second game in as many nights.

Vladimir Sobotka, STL vs TB ($4,200): Sobotka is benefiting from skating on the first line with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko, who garners most of the attention from opposing defenses. He's recorded double-digit fantasy points in three of his last five games and has six goals and 12 assists on the season. He offers a solid floor, seeing upwards of 17 minutes per game of ice time playing for a team that averages 3.44 goals per game at home.

Wayne Simmonds, PHI vs TOR ($5,300): Simmonds is on fire for a Flyers team which is starting to pick up its play up after a brutal 10-game losing streak. Simmonds has goals in each of his last three games while adding an assist over that span. He's also had success against Toronto with four goals in his last four games. With the Leafs allowing 33.9 shots on goal per game on the road, Simmonds, who has 10 shots over his last two games, could be in for a productive night.

Defense

Rasmus Ristolainen, BUF vs OTT ($4,600): Ristolainen is averaging a league-high 27 minutes of ice time per game. He offers a solid floor with blocked shots (12 over his last two games) and shots on goal (16 over his last five). The Senators have allowed the seventh most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month, and Ristolainen has averaged 15.56 fantasy points in his last five games against them.

Noah Hanifin, CAR at VGK ($3,600): While Justin Fauk continues to have a horrendous season for the Hurricanes, Hanifin, one of the other young Carolina defensemen, continues to be a valuable asset in fantasy cirlces. He's posted double-digit fantasy points in six of his last nine games and has a good matchup against Vegas, which has allowed the most fantasy points to defensemen over the last month.
