Finalist for Masterton Trophy
Kylington was named a finalist for the Masterton Trophy on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Kylington ended the 2023-24 campaign on a high note with a goal and two assists in his last four contests. After missing the entire 2022-23 season, Kylington returned to action this year, logging 33 games in which he garnered eight points, 42 shots and 24 hits while averaging 17:15 of ice time. Assuming he plays a full 82-game season next year, the 26-year-old blueliner should be capable of getting back to the 30-point threshold despite limited power-play opportunities.

Kylington managed just 16 points in 95 games over parts of his first four NHL seasons, but he established himself as a full-time regular for Calgary last year, posting nine goals and 31 points in 73 games. The presence of Rasmus Andersson and Noah Hanifin limited Kylington to just 1:04 of power-play time per game, which certainly limits his ceiling from a fantasy perspective. Kylington could threaten 20 minutes worth of playing time a night this upcoming season, so a repeat performance is certainly possible, but there isn't much upside here.
