DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

There are only four games in the NBA on Sunday, three of which make up the main slate on DraftKings. There are limited options for your entry as a result, but that doesn't mean you can't still be a winner at the end of the night. Here are some players with favorable matchups that could help you make some money.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR at LAC ($9,700): Lillard is closing out the season on a high note, scoring at least 42.8 DraftKings points in nine of his last 10 games. He has the valuable combination of having the 10th-highest usage rate (30.6%) in the league and averaging 37 minutes per game. The Clippers haven't been able to stop him this season either with Lillard averaging 26.5 points, three rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 4.5 three-pointers in their first two meetings. Look for him to have another valuable performance Sunday.

Terry Rozier, BOS at NO ($7,600): Rozier has been playing extra minutes with Kyrie Irving (knee), Marcus Smart (thumb) and Jaylen Brown (concussion) sidelined, scoring at least 35.3 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. Smart and Brown will be out again Sunday with Irving's status still in doubt as well. If all three don't play, Rozier will again be one of the focal points of their offense. Even if Irving does return, Rozier will get plenty of opportunities to produce with both Smart and Brown out against a Pelicans team that plays at the third-fastest pace (102.6 possessions per game) in the league.

E'Twaun Moore, NO vs. BOS ($3,900): With only six teams to select from Sunday, finding cheap value plays is harder than normal. The good news with Moore is that he at least gets consistent playing time, logging at least 28 minutes in 12 of his last 13 games. His upside isn't very high, but he has scored at least 21.5 DraftKings points in three straight contests. He might be worth the risk in tournament play considering what else he can open up for your budget.

Forwards

Tobias Harris, LAC vs. POR ($7,500): With the Clippers fighting for a playoff spot and missing Danilo Gallinari (hand), Harris has played at least 36 minutes in 10 of his last 13 games. He has cashed in his extended playing time lately, scoring at least 37.8 DraftKings points in six of his last seven contests. If the Clippers are going to have any chance of hanging with the red hot Trail Blazers on Sunday, they are going to need another big performance from Harris. The price is right to consider him for your entry.

Nemanja Bjelica, MIN vs. HOU ($5,600): The injury to Jimmy Butler (knee) left a big
hole in the Timberwolves starting five because not only was he one of their best players, but he was averaging 37 minutes per game. Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau is known for giving his starters heavy playing time and that has been the case for Butler's replacement Bjelica, who has logged at least 37 minutes in five straight games. He's had some valuable performances as a result, scoring at least 34.8 DraftKings points in three of those games. His new role should put him in the conversation for your entry.

Al-Farouq Aminu, POR at LAC ($4,400): Aminu was in a slump to start the month of March, but is showing signs of being productive again, scoring at least 30.3 DraftKings points in back-to-back games. He's not going to score a lot, but he has grabbed at least nine rebounds in three straight contests. The Clippers play at the sixth-fastest pace (101.2) in the league, which could leave Aminu with a few extra chances to provide value Sunday.

Centers

Al Horford, BOS at NO ($6,900): Horford returned from an illness Friday to score 32.8 DraftKings points in 31 minutes. With the Celtics decimated by injuries, Horford attempted 18 shots in that game. He made only six of them, but it shows that he could be in line for a greater role in the offense moving forward. Not only do the Pelicans play at a fast pace, but they also allow the second-most points per game (111.4) in the league. Horford could have one of his best offensive games of the season if his shot is falling Sunday.

Clint Capela, HOU at MIN ($6,400): Like Aminu, Capela got off to a slow start in March, but has rebounded to score at least 33.8 DraftKings points in both of his last two games. He recorded a double-double in each contest, finishing with nine total blocks as well. He has also played well in three previous games against the Timberwolves this season, averaging 19.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.0 block. His recent struggles have helped to lower his price, making him a viable option for your entry.

Greg Monroe, BOS at NO ($5,100): While a lot of the focus on the injuries to the Celtics is centered on their backcourt, they also suffered a significant blow to their frontcourt when Daniel Theis (knee) was lost for the season. He was an important part of their bench and his absence should open up added playing time for Monroe. Monroe has the second-highest usage rate (23.3%) on the team, so the extra minutes really boost his value. If you want to save money at center, Monroe has upside.
