FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The NBA All-Star break is rapidly approaching, leaving you with only three nights left this week to bring home some money in DFS. Let's take a look at some players with favorable matchups Tuesday who can hopefully help you create a winning lineup on FanDuel.

Guards

Chris Paul, HOU at MIN ($9,600): Paul is playing well right now, scoring at least 43.9 FanDuel points in four of his last five games. Really, the only concern with Paul is that he could get limited playing time if the Rockets are blowing out an opponent. With the Rockets playing a tough team in the Timberwolves on the road Tuesday, Paul should get enough minutes to provide plenty of value at this price.

De'Aaron Fox, SAC at DAL ($6,000): Fox will see significant playing time moving forward and has logged at least 34 minutes in both games since George Hill was traded to the Cavaliers. Fox has not disappointed so far, scoring at least 30.9 FanDuel points in both of those contests. The Mavericks allow the tenth-most FanDuel points per game (46.4) to opposing point guards, making Fox someone to consider at this reasonable price.

Danny Green, SA at DEN ($4,600): Green's numbers don't jump off the page, but he has still managed to score at least 20.6 FanDuel points in five of his last six games. One of those contests came against these same Nuggets when he scored 23.5 FanDuel points. Although he doesn't have a ton of offensive upside, he can still provide value because he is averaging 1.0 steal and 1.1 blocks in just 26 minutes per game this season. He has the potential to contribute enough across the board Tuesday to warrant considering for your entry.

Forwards

Jimmy Butler, MIN vs. HOU ($9,700): Butler had a bad game by his standards Sunday against the Kings, finishing with just 31.5 FanDuel points. He only took nine shots in the game, which was significantly below his season average of 15.8 shot attempts per contest. Don't expect that to happen again Tuesday as the Timberwolves try to keep up with the high-scoring Rockets, who play at the ninth-fastest pace (100.5 possessions per game) in the league.

Dwight Powell, DAL vs. SAC ($6,700): Powell has been given an opportunity for added playing time, logging at least 23 minutes in six straight games. He's made the most of it, scoring at least 27 FanDuel points in five straight contests. He scored 31.3 FanDuel points against these same Kings a little over a week ago and could provide value again Tuesday.

Jerami Grant, OKC vs. CLE ($4,900): Grant is in the midst of one of his best stretches of the season, scoring at least 22 FanDuel points in six straight games. The Thunder don't have much depth, so he is going to get plenty of opportunities to contribute for their second unit. Even though the Cavaliers have made a lot of changes to their team, they still don't have a lot of great defenders. If you want to save money at forward, Grant is someone to consider.

Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. HOU ($9,400): Towns continues to be one of the most productive centers in DFS, scoring at least 41.1 FanDuel points in six of his last nine games. He doesn't always get a lot of shot attempts with Butler and Andrew Wiggins in the fold, but he is extremely efficient by shooting 54.6% from the field and 85.0% from the charity stripe. He destroyed the Rockets for 66.7 FanDuel points in their first meeting this season and has a high upside again Tuesday.

Pau Gasol, SA at DEN ($6,000): Gasol started with LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) sidelined Monday, scoring 50 FanDuel points in 33 minutes. Aldridge will not play Tuesday either, which should again leave Gasol with added playing time. It might be hard for him to match Monday's production, but he could still provide plenty of value at this price.

Dewayne Dedmon, ATL at MIL ($5,800): Dedmon reentered the starting lineup Sunday, playing 31 minutes and scoring 47.1 FanDuel points against the Pistons. Dedmon has only played at least 26 minutes in a game three times since returning from injury, but scored at least 29.3 FanDuel points in all three of those contests. He will likely see added playing time again Tuesday and gets to face a Bucks team that allows the fifth-most FanDuel points per game (53.8) to opposing centers. The price is right to take a chance on him again in this game.
