FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Monday brings a fairly quiet night in the NBA with only six games on the schedule. However, there are plenty of elite players to choose from for your FanDuel entry with the Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder all in action. Here are some players worth considering across the price scale to hopefully win you some money.

Guards

Damian Lillard, POR at GS ($9,300): Lillard is playing at his best right now by scoring at least 46.8 FanDuel points in three straight games. He's been red hot offensively as he has scored at least 29 points in seven of his last eight games. The Warriors play at the fifth-fastest pace (103.6) in the league, likely giving Lillard plenty of chances to score and provide value Monday.

Rajon Rondo, NO at HOU ($5,600): Rondo has settled in nicely with the Pelicans, averaging 11.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 11.4 assists over his last five games. With excellent scorers in DeMarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday around him, Rondo is going to get plenty of opportunities to rack up assists. Both the Pelicans and the Rockets are in the top-eight in the league in terms of pace of play, so consider making Rondo part of your entry.

Patrick McCaw, GS vs. POR ($4,100): McCaw (concussion) is listed as questionable after missing the team's last two games. He went through a full practice Sunday, which is a good sign that he might return Monday. If he does, he could start at point guard with Stephen Curry (ankle) out of action. McCaw scored 43.1 FanDuel points in a start for Curry earlier this season, so keep an eye on his status throughout the day. If he returns, he has potential at this price.

Forwards

Kevin Durant, GS vs. POR ($11,700): Durant has been dominant with Curry out, scoring at least 66.2 FanDuel points in both games. Not only has he scored at least 35 points in both games, but he helped run the offense by dishing out at least seven assists in both contests. With Curry out again Monday, Durant has a tremendous ceiling.

Marvin Williams, CHA at OKC ($5,100): The Hornets are dealing with injuries to key members of their frontcourt as Cody Zeller (knee) is out and Frank Kaminsky (ankle) is questionable Monday. Williams has played at least 27 minutes in both of the last two games with them out, scoring at least 21.1 FanDuel points both times. Williams should get plenty of minutes if Kaminsky is out again Monday, giving him upside at this price.

David Nwaba, CHI vs. BOS ($4,500): The Bulls have won two games in a row and a big reason for that has been the improved play of their bench. Nwaba has been one of those key bench contributors, scoring at least 31.5 FanDuel points in both games. Considering he had scored at least 27.2 FanDuel points three times before going down with an ankle injury earlier this season, he has shown potential. At this price, he's a viable option at small forward.

Centers

Dwight Howard, CHA at OKC ($8,800): Howard has also seen an expanded role with Zeller and Kaminsky out, playing at least 31 minutes in both games. He scored at least 21 points and grabbed at least 10 rebounds in both contests as he continues to be a great addition for the Hornets. He has at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in nine games this season, showing he has great upside even at this high price.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. TOR ($7,600): Speaking of teams dealing with injuries up front, the Clippers are still without their best player in Blake Griffin (knee). The Clippers have leaned heavily on Jordan and he has largely come through by averaging 12.6 points, 16.6 rebounds and 1.0 block in the five games since Griffin went down. Expect his expanded role to continue to bring value Monday.

Steven Adams, OKC vs. CHA ($6,500): Adams has been a model of consistency by scoring at least 27.8 FanDuel points in five straight games. He played at least 30 minutes in all five of those games, which is not surprising considering the lack of depth on the Thunder's roster. Adams is likely going to play big minutes again battling with Howard, making him one of the safer center options at this price.
