FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

With a larger slate consisting of 10 games, there will be plenty of viable options to consider using in your lineup. The following breakdown details some of the more intriguing plays at each position, including a few different price ranges.

GUARDS:

Bradley Beal, WAS at PHI ($8,300): The Wizards are slated to be without John Wall for at least another week while he recovers from a knee injury, so Beal should continue to be the go-to guy offensively Wednesday. When you combine the added play-making responsibility to the fact that the Sixers give up the second most FanDuel points to shooting guards, that makes Beal one of the better plays at that position in the upper tier. Beal has surpassed 30 FanDuel points in nine of the last 10 games, giving him a very safe floor as a DFS option.

Avery Bradley, DET vs PHO ($5,300): Similar to Beal, this is a pick that is largely based on the matchup, as the Suns give up the third most FanDuel points to shooting guards. That's not to discount what Bradley can do across the stat sheet, as he adds a little bit of everything. The multi-category production is extremely hard to find at the shooting guard position, so at a mid-tier price, Bradley has plenty of potential to surpass his projected value.

Spencer Dinwiddie, BKN at DAL ($7,000): Dinwiddie continues to start in place of the injured D'Angelo Russell (knee) and while his price has finally adjusted to where his production has been of late, he's still a decent play against a very poor Mavericks defense. With Allen Crabbe (back) and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle) also banged up a bit, Dinwiddie will be given added opportunities to act as a scorer and a play maker on the offensive side of the ball. Dinwiddie has had 34 or more FanDuel points in four of his last seven games, including two 40-plus FanDuel point showings, and that will once again be in play with a favorable matchup in Dallas.

FORWARDS:

Anthony Davis, NO vs MIN ($10,800): Davis is one of the more intriguing plays in regards to the highest priced players. While there's always the risk of injury for the Pelicans big man, he's still averaging over 50 FanDuel points per game, including a whopping five showings where he's surpassed the 60-point mark. In his first matchup against the Timberwolves earlier this season, Davis had 55 FanDuel points and considering Minnesota gives up the fourth most points to the position, he should be in a great spot to put up some big numbers once again.

Harrison Barnes, DAL vs BKN ($6,500): Barnes is often considered a one-trick pony with his ability to score the ball, though he's currently averaging 7.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists, both of which would be career highs if the season ended today. That added production in other categories helps his overall value and at a mid-tier price of just $6,500, there's plenty of upside there, especially considering he's facing off against a weak Nets defense.

Trevor Booker, BKN at DAL, ($4,900): Booker is one of the cheaper options to consider for Wednesday's slate. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is expected to sit out once again with an ankle injury, which should mean another start for Booker and extended minutes. While Booker saw fairly limited playing time in the second game of a back-to-back Monday, he posted an impressive double-double the night before, which was good enough for 40.2 FanDuel points. That type of production for a player in the $4000's is exactly what DFS owners should be looking for in their cheaper plays.

CENTERS:

Andre Drummond, DET vs PHO ($9,400): Drummond has been an absolute beast of late, with his work on the boards being the most impressive part of his game. He had 22 rebounds on Monday and has hit double-digits in all but one game so far this season, giving him a fairly safe floor. That means when he gets hot offensively, Drummond has the potential to put up huge numbers, which we saw on Monday when he added 26 points to his aforementioned rebound total and ended up with over 70 FanDuel points. I'm betting on a continuance of that strong play, especially against a weaker Suns team that also plays at the quickest pace in the entire NBA. More possessions mean more rebound opportunities for the big man.

Clint Capela, HOU vs IND ($7,600): If you're looking to drop down a tier from Drummond and get something a little cheaper, Capela is a very good fallback option. The Pacers give up the most FanDuel points to centers, so Capela should have no problems racking up the stats. Capela is already averaging an impressive 34.7 FanDuel points per game, so with a favorable matchup, he should be able to push up into the 40s or 50s with a strong showing. The Rockets are in the top third in the league for pace of play, which also continues to help boost Capela's overall numbers.
