FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

GUARDS

Stephen Curry, GS at PHI ($9,000): The Sixers are full of tough matchups across their roster, but their point guard position is undoubtedly their weakest position. The fact that Curry's price has dropped makes him an even more encouraging pick, as he'd be much closer to a five-figure player if he didn't post a dud in his most recent outing.

Nicolas Batum, CHA vs. LAC ($6,500): Batum has played two games since returning from an elbow injury, as his price has yet to catch up to where it should be. In his two starts, Batum is averaging 25 fantasy points per game in 29 minutes of action. While that's a bit below expectations, he should continue to see a rise in minutes the more he plays and an increase in production. The Clippers are not a matchup to fear right now, as they have a thin backcourt who have lost seven straight games.

Mario Chalmers, MEM vs. HOU ($3,900): With Mike Conley expected to miss the next two weeks, Chalmers should start in his absence and play big minutes. In his two games since Conley went down, Chalmers is averaging 24 fantasy points per game in 27 minutes of action. That's monster production from a player south of $4,000, as he's the bet of the day to exceed 5X value in his newly-expanded role. Not to mention, Chalmers faces a Houston team which allows the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards, in addition to ranking ninth in pace.

FORWARDS

Draymond Green, GS vs. PHI ($7,900): Green is averaging over 41 fantasy points across his last three games, and this is the sort of matchup he thrives in. Not only is he going to have to play big minutes against this stout frontcourt but both of these teams rank top-five in pace. That helps a defensive player like Green so much more, as he should accumulate rebounds, assists, steals and blocks at ease. Not to mention, the Sixers are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers, which is where Green will mostly be playing in this matchup.

Jaylen Brown, BOS at ATL ($6,400): Brown had a gem of a game against the Golden State Warriors in their most recent outing, and he's becoming a go-to player on this elite Boston roster. Not only does he have at least 26 fantasy points in five straight games, but Brown is averaging 32 fantasy points per game in that span. The icing on the cake is the matchup, with Atlanta allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season.

Jayson Tatum, BOS at ATL ($5,400): Tatum is one of the favorites for Rookie of the Year right now, as he's playing big minutes for a Celtics team that has won 14-straight games. The strange thing about Tatum is his pricing, as he's averaging over 25 fantasy points per game. While the recent form isn't quite up to par from his early form, it has lowered his price to a number that's too low to pass up. The fact that Atlanta are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards just adds to Tatum's intrigue.

CENTERS

Marc Gasol, MEM vs. HOU ($8,300): Whenever Gasol faces the Rockets, he's always worth a look in DFS. The career numbers against Houston are impressive, with Gasol averaging well over 30 fantasy points per game against them throughout his career. He comes into this matchup scorching hot, dropping a season-high 71 fantasy points in his most recent game against the Indiana Pacers. With Mike Conley also out, Gasol should see a major increase in role and production.

Al Horford, ATL at BOS ($7,300): Horford has quietly been one of the most consistent centers in the league this season, as he's scored at least 26 fantasy points in every game this year. When you only get one center position, getting that sort of reliability is huge, as many centers have such volatile ceilings and floors.

Willie Cauley-Stein, SAC at POR ($4,100): Hunch plays are dangerous for DFS, but a little bit of brainstorming led to WCS looking like a nice value play. The biggest reason he's a value is his price, as he's shown the ability to play at a $6,000 level. If you tell me that a player who's averaging 22 fantasy points in 24 minutes per game is looking at an expanded role, he's a lock on FanDuel at $4,100. Not to mention, Cauley-Stein faces a Portland defense that he totaled 22 points and 10 rebounds against in that first half of the back-to-back set on Friday,
