Weekly Hitter Rankings: At Home in the ATL

This article is part of our Weekly Hitter Rankings series.

Especially since the season started earlier, with no deference given to location for early series, adding a ranking for weather could be a valuable addition. I can't promise I'll have it ready for next week, but it's on the to-do list. Until it warms up, expect depressed offense in cold-weather cities.

Weather shouldn't be an issue in San Juan, Puerto Rico, when the Twins and Indians square off for a two-game set in Hiram Bithorn Stadium. The venue is considered good for hitters, though both clubs will send good pitchers to the hill.

The Atlanta Braves lead the pack this week with seven home games. It remains to be seen if top prospect Ronald Acuna will make his debut during the homestand.

The Milwaukee Brewers also have a full week of home affairs. Look for the Crew to put up a lot of runs, especially if Christian Yelich returns.

The Tigers are the third team with seven home games. The Indians and Twins each have five as they'll be doing promotional work in Puerto Rico on Monday, then get Thursday off as a travel day.

Other scheduling quirks include an 11:05 a.m. EDT first pitch for the Orioles-Red Sox Patriots Day matchup in Fenway Park and the Marlins and Yankees getting a rare Wednesday off day along with the Tigers and Royals playing a pair on Friday.

For the week April 16-22.
