Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Arauz was originally drafted by Philadelphia before he was included in the trade of Ken Giles to Houston during the 2015 offseason. Arauz was plucked by Boston in the Rule 5 draft last winter, and he stuck around all season as a 22-year-old utility player who showed the ability to handle the bat better than most guys with fewer than 30 games above A-ball in their career. Arauz will almost certainly report to the minor leagues in 2021 and needs some time to continue his physical maturity as well as his skill development. He is not worth drafting and stashing while that plays out, and long term, his hit tool is the only offensive tool that projects out to be anything better than average.
