The NHL is in action Sunday as there is a Sunday-Monday slate open for our enjoyment. Here are some players to consider for your lineups:
GOALIE
Martin Jones, SJ at NYR ($8,900): The Rangers haven't been able to show any scoring consistency while Jones has been very good. He's won each of his last three games and hasn't allowed more than two goals in any of those contests. He holds a solid floor in this matchup.
CENTER
Joe Thornton, SJ at NYR ($5,600): Thornton is on a roll to start the season with six points (one goal, five assists) in seven games. The top line center has points in three straight games, including one goal and four assists, and he is in a good spot against a Rangers team that has struggled defensively early on.
Dylan Larkin, DET vs VAN ($5,400): Larkin is skating well with one goal and eight assists on the season. He has three points, all assists, in his last two games, and should be able to use his speed as an edge in a matchup against the Canucks. Additionally, Larkin has been centering the second line and seeing time on the second power-play unit of late.
WING
Mats Zuccarello, NYR vs SJ ($5,500): The Rangers have been a mess to start the year, but Zuccarello finds himself in a good situation against the Sharks, who are in the midst of a tri-state road trip. In nine games, Zuccarello has two goals and five assists and offers good value on this slate.
Brock Boeser, VAN at DET ($4,700): Boeser has five points (two goals, three assists) in his first five career NHL regular season games and is looking more comfortable in each contest. At $4,700, he is in a nice spot skating on the second line.
Dustin Brown, LA at TOR ($4,700): Brown is still on fire with five goals and six assists overall. He had a goal and three assists in his last game and is in a good matchup against a Maple Leafs team that has been lacking defensively. Skating on the top line and top power-play unit, Brown is in a good spot to continue his success.
Anthony Mantha, DET vs VAN ($5,300): The Red Wings find themselves at home against the Canucks, and with seven points (three goals, four assists) this season, Mantha should be in a productive spot.
DEFENSE
Nikita Zaitsev, TOR vs LA ($4,800): Zaitsev has two goals and three assists for the Leafs. This matchup is a tough one, but expect him to be a threat from the blue line. He's skating a good chunk of minutes which will help his upside.
Alec Martinez, LA at TOR ($4,300): At just $4,300, Martinzez offers nice offensive upside at the position while not hitting the salary cap much. He has just one assist on the season, but is still getting into form after being injured early.
