16 team, 6 x 6 (5 x 5 plus OPS and Hold), keep 20 players, no contracts, can keep players forever.

This team took 172.5 of a possible 192 points. Yes, it is stacked, especially for a 16 team league.

I've marked 17 keepers in bold. Pick 3 more.

The top contenders are Mat Latos (elbow?), Kevin Gausman, Tony Cingrani (back?), Jon Papelbon, Glen Perkins, Alex Wood, Austin Jackson, Alex Gordon, Torii Hunter and Justin Morneau.

Notes:

Bourn's a good player, but with OPS as a category, I have pretty much punted stolen bases.

I'm not a big fan of keeping closers, especially with holds counting, but Jansen and Holland were my holds guys and are now closers. Should I keep Papelbon and Perkins and ignore holds for 2014?

C- Yadier Molina
C- Wilson Ramos/ Hank Conger
1B- Prince Fielder
2B- Matt Carpenter/ Neil Walker
3B- Miguel Cabrera
SS- Troy Tulowitzki
MI- Andrelton Simmons
CI- Evan Longoria
OF- Jay Bruce
OF- Justin Upton
OF- Austin Jackson
OF- Alex Gordon
OF- Michael Bourn/ Denard Span
U- Torii Hunter/ Zoilo Almonte/ Josh Bell
U- Justin Morneau/ Khris Davis/ Kyle Parker

SP- Adam Wainwright
SP- Max Scherzer/ Doug Fister
SP- Gio Gonzalez
SP- Mike Minor/ Alex Wood
P- Zack Greinke/ Kevin Gausman
P- Mat Latos/ Tony Cingrani
RP- Kenley Jansen
RP- Greg Holland/ Luke Hochevar/ Charlie Furbush
RP- Jon Papelbon/ Alexi Ogando/ Drew Smyly
RP- Glen Perkins/ David Robertson/ Robbie Ross

So, Wood over Latos, Cingrani, and Papelbon? Interesting.

I am a Tigers fan, and even though A-Jax always seems to be around 100 runs, I just can't bring myself to keep him anymore. He is sooooo frustrating. I just watched him go 2 for 20 in the series against the A's, with a whopping 13(!!!) strikeouts.

I am now leaning toward Latos, Cingrani and Gordon- falling in line with Blue and Steelcity.

I am tempted to make room for Gausman, but I don't see how I can justify doing so. I also know that Blue would remind me of Gausman's failures this season if I were to keep him.  Clap

Gordon, Cingrani, and Robertson. I think you have the talent base to keep a guy like Robertson. Best case: he gets the Yankees closers job and saves 40+ games. Worst case: he remains the set-up and gets ~30 holds.

I would also recommend trading Matt Carpenter for Mike Moustakas.

I think Carp comes back down this year. His run total was out of control in 2013.
