Butler. But i wonder how the upgraded line-up will help Freeman. I think he is legit, but Butler has the better overall stat profile

I'm a Butler fan and will say Butler, but I think we've seen just about all he's going to give you. Freeman has tons of potential, and I think that potential is higher than Butler.
For the next year or two, I'll stick with Butler, but I think 3 years out, Freeman will be the choice. |

Butler is a pure hitter. The only question is if his power stays over 25HR. I think it does. He has figured it out:)

Freeman will have more HR and more RBI this year. Worse average. Freeman is underrated. He's going to explode with power this year.

Freeman is younger, and with that becomes the more "I can spot new talent" pick, but Butler is still only 26. He hit .313 with 29 HR's at age 25. If you like Freeman, you're hoping that he becomes what Butler is now. I take Butler every time. Too many people forget the .313 avg. in 600 AB's. That's a tremendous boost in that category.

I think that Freeman isn't getting enough love here. He had that eye injury last year. I can't imagine a scenario where his stats don't improve greatly this year.

Freeman is a good player, and he'll probably get better. But I always go with what is, instead of what might be, especially when the is is 26 years old and put up the numbers Butler did last year on a terrible-hitting team. I shudder to think what the guy might do if all those underachieving guys in KC even approach what the scouts say is their potential.
