Who would you take in a standard 5x5 keeper league?

Penn sorry you thought it was such an outrageous question but their numbers were close last season minus the steals and avg.
Goldschmidt 2012:145 GAMES,514 AB 20 HR,82 RBI,82 R,18 SB .286 AVG. Freeman 2012:147 GAMES,540 AB 23 HR,94 RBI,91 R, 2 SB .259 AVG. |

Steel.... All qustions are certainly worth asking and not trying to offend.
To me, the lines that you posted say it all as well as what you stated. Their numbers were close Minus the SB's and BA. Those are 2 of the 5 stats in a 5x5 league so at least in my way of thinking it's an easy decision as their is alot of difference in value there. But we can't look at just last years stats alone. Scale projections for Golschmidts SB's back to 10 Lets also remember that Goldschmidt got off to an extremely bad start last year batting below .200 on April 30th with just 1 HR and seeing him improve as the season went on to bat .286 . Also look at the 2 30 Plus HR seasons Goldschmidt had in the previous 2 years he was in the minors so there is good reason to believe there is chance to improve quite a bit power wise. Nothing is certain of course but I believe those reasons are some but not all of why Goldschmidt is a preferred pick. That doesn't mean he will have the better year. That we have to see of course :-) |

freeman should be getting a lineup boost, so he's in a spot for better numbers
