FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 7 Value Plays

FanDuel Fantasy Football: Week 7 Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel Fantasy Football series.

QUARTERBACK

Brett Hundley, GB vs NO ($6,500): Hundley is seemingly a safe play given both his price and the home matchup. The Saints have been terrible on defense for the last few years and this season they average 17 fantasy points allowed (12th most) to quarterbacks. He has a great set of receivers at his disposal in Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams and Randall Cobb. Hundley averaged 10 rushing touchdowns and more than 159 rushing attempts in each year at UCLA, adding another dimension to his fantasy prospects other quarterbacks don't have. Look for this to be a shootout and a week of practice with the starters greatly helps.

RUNNING BACK

Derrick Henry, TEN at CLE ($5,600): Henry appeared to overtake DeMarco Murray as the lead running back last game, finishing with 19 carries for 131 yards and a score. It appears Murray will miss this week with a hamstring injury, skyrocketing Henry's value in DFS. While the Browns have been good against the run, game flow suggests Tennessee getting ahead, and if there's no Murray, Henry should see at least 20 touches.

Adrian Peterson, ARI at LAC ($6,300):
AP is coming of a 25.4 fantasy point day and looks like he still has a lot of gas left in the tank. The matchup doesn't get much better than this as the Rams have given up a league-high 32 fantasy points per game to running backs. There's no reason the Cardinals don't lean heavily on Peterson until David Johnson comes back given how many passes Carson Palmer has thrown this season. Chris Ivory is another back to consider if Leonard Fournette can't suit up for Jacksonville.

WIDE RECEIVER

Jarvis Landry, MIA ($7,000): With DeVante Parker looking like he'll miss another game, Landry is an attractive option once again this week. He's has 10 and 14 targets in the last two games that Parker missed and has found the end zone in both contests. It's not a bad home matchup against the Jets who are in the middle of the pack as far as surrendering fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

Doug Baldwin, SEA ($7,400): Baldwin has an elite matchup this week against the Giants who have given up the most fantasy points to wide receiver this season, and it hasn't been close (48.4, Eagles are second with 39.7). Over the last year and a half, Baldwin has games of 10-105-1, 13-171-1, 8-59-3 and 8-164-1, showing his upside. The Giants have also given up the most fantasy points to tight ends, putting a Jimmy Graham, Baldwin and Russell Wilson stack in play.

TIGHT END

Delanie Walker, TEN ($5,900): Walker has yet to find the end zone this season, but there's a good chance that changes Sunday. The Browns allow the second-most fantasy points to tight ends, the second-most touchdown catches and the most receptions in the league. Marcus Mariota is still nursing a hamstring injury and has been looking to pass more attempting a season-low two rushes last game. That bodes well for Walker and the other Tennessee receivers.

KICKER

Stephen Gostkowski, NE ($5,100): The Super Bowl rematch should be an interesting affair with both teams sporting excellent offense and porous defenses. Gostkowski has scored 12, 15 and 15 fantasy points in three games this season and gone 13-for-14 on his field goal attempts.

DEFENSE

Tennessee Titans, ($4,800): After likely ruining DeShone Kizer's confidence by benching him, the Browns announced Wednesday they will go back to the rookie as their starting quarterback. Therefore, the Titans have an elite matchup this week even though they're on the road. Kizer has thrown at least one interception all five starts and has multiple turnovers in three of those games. The Titans have been solid against the run allowing only 3.8 YPC meaning the Browns should struggle to score.
