Conley (ankle) will need to get a second surgery on his ankle and will miss the rest of the season as a result, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Conley will end up spending the entire 2020 season on IR after originally getting arthroscopic surgery in January. His fifth-year option wasn't picked up prior to this season, so Conley will be a free agent heading into the 2021 campaign.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2018
Conley finished the 2019 with the Texans, who acquired him from Oakland prior to the trade deadline. Houston was needy for cornerback help, and Conley started six of eight games played. He combined to record 50 tackles, 13 passes defensed and one interception between the two teams. Houston opted not to exercise Conley's fifth-year option, but the team was pleased with his play as a fill-in for the injured Jonathan Joseph and is line to start at one of the cornerback spots in 2020.
The Raiders secondary was in desperate need of their 2017 first-rounder last year as the unit ranked 26th in passing defense, but Conley appeared in just two games as a rookie while dealing with a lingering shin injury. Inching back to full health, Conley should be a full participant throughout training camp with his sights set on earning the starting cornerback spot opposite free-agent signee Rashaan Melvin. Conley should have a clear path to that starting role if he's able to avoid any injury setbacks.
