Dodd’s 78 tackles and nine sacks as a senior at Clemson earned him an early second-round selection in the 2016 draft. He started camp on the PUP list after undergoing foot surgery to repair a stress fracture in May, but should be ready to join an outside linebacker rotation with Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo by Week 1. David Bass proved incapable of generating any kind of pass rush in Morgan’s stead late last season, so the only thing standing between Dodd and a decent chunk of playing time is his own health.
