Looks live everyone's given up on this and is getting ready for Titans-Colts
on MNF, so it's up to the true believers to get this started ... that's right,
my son and I, who once took in a Monday night Rays-A's game at the Trop when he
was eight, back in '02. He was learning to count, so we decided to count every
person in the stands than night ... and we had to stop at 155. There are fewer
people in the Rays' corner tonight, but I think they take this one. Kazmir might
be the most talented LHP in the AL, and they've beaten tougher pitchers than
Hamels in tougher parks than Philly this season. It's certainly true the Rays
have been cowed a bit over the past two games, but they've been here before. Of
course, the Phils do come in with a world of momentum.
Rays shaking up the lineup a bit tonight ... Crawford moves up to the second
spot ahead of Upton, dropping the mega-slumping Pena and Crawford down a slot.
Also, Baldelli in RF tonight.

Carl Crawford (OF) TB |
11/14/2009 |
| The St. Petersburg Times states that a report from NY Baseball Digest which indicates that Carl Crawford wants out of Tampa, is likely false. |
According to NY Baseball Digest, Crawford is upset the Rays picked up his option and backed out of an agreement to work out a long-term deal. All of this comes from an unidentified source, so take this with a grain of salt. However, the Rays would be wise to sign Crawford, arguably the best left fielder in the game, to a long-term deal. |
