Pitcher
Mike Clevinger, CLE vs LAA ($18,000) – Clevinger has gone from a spot-start guy to a legitimate starter this season, and Cleveland sure needed him early in the year while its big guns struggled. Now with their top pitchers back in line, the pressure is off Clevinger and he's thriving, allowing just two runs in his past four starts and he's racked up 27 strikeouts in 24 innings.
Jameson Taillon, PIT at SF ($21,300) -- Neither the Giants or the Pirates strike out at a high rate, but the Pirates have a much higher wOBA against lefties than the Giants do against righties. Taillon has everything you need to rack up points, but he needs to figure out how to limit his pitch count as he often fails to get deep into games.
INFIELD
Yonder Alonso, OAK at TOR ($8,400) – Cesar Valdez takes the mound for the Blue Jays, and in limited action this season, he's been pretty bad. He hasn't pitched enough to be considered reliably bad, so I'm not recommending a stack, but I would suggest grabbing a small piece of the Oakland lineup. Alonso enters with a .394 wOBA against righties this season.
Jose Altuve, HOU vs PHI ($11,100) – Altuve has really upped his game in the absence of Carlos Correa and might be the hottest hitter in the game right now. He has a great matchup against Nick Pivetta, who has been battered around a lot lately. Pivetta has surrendered six or more runs in two of his past five starts and this could be another spot where he gets hammered, as Houston has one of the best lineups in the majors. Altuve enters with a .419 wOBA against righties this season, which is 12th in baseball.
Travis Shaw, MIL at WAS ($8,100) – Edwin Jackson looked impressive in his first start of the season, but I have to wonder if it's fool's gold. Jackson hasn't been a quality starter at the major league level for a while and it's only a matter of time before this most recent stint turns south. If anyone is to is going to make things hard for Jackson in the Brewers lineup, it's Shaw, who has been the most consistent bat in the lineup all year. Shaw enters with a .397 wOBA against righties this season.
OUTFIELD
Corey Dickerson, TB vs BAL ($9,600) – Wade Miley is back on the mound for the O's and unlike some of his mates in the rotation, Miley is showing no signs of improvement. Miley enters with a 5.58 ERA and he's surrendered 20 runs over just 17 innings in his past four starts. Unfortunately for us, the Rays aren't very good against lefties as a whole, which will make stacking them difficult. With that said, Dickerson is one guy who has fared well against lefties this season with a .378 wOBA.
Bryce Harper, WAS vs MIL ($10,800) – Zach Davies enters with a 4.76 ERA, but he's not the type of pitcher that consistently gives up a few runs every game, as he's more of a boom-or-bust kind of guy. Considering the lineup he's facing, this looks like a bust spot. Harper leads the Nationals with a .468 wOBA against righties this season.
Giancarlo Stanton, MIA at TEX ($9,200) – With the way Stanton has been hitting lately and the fact that his price has remained below the elite tier, there's no reason to pass on him here. He is facing the inconsistent Cole Hamels, so I'm not too worried. Stanton enters with a .399 wOBA against lefties this season.
UTILITY
Didi Gregorius, NYY vs CIN ($8,100) – Gregorius and the Yankees will face righty Luis Castillo, who enters with a 3.86 ERA but has struggled over his past two starts. Gregorius is second on the Yankees with a .381 wOBA against righties this season, trailing only Aaron Judge in that category.
Zack Cozart, CIN at NYY ($9,000) – Jordan Montgomery has probably been the most consistent pitcher in the Yankees' rotation, but he's coming off his worst start of the season and might be starting to wear down. Montgomery allowed six runs in six innings in his most recent start against the Twins. Cozart has been the best Reds hitter against lefties this season with a .483 wOBA.
