PITCHER
Robbie Ray, ARI at PHI ($13,500): Ray has scored between 30.3 and 46.9 fantasy points over his last five starts, including 33 strikeouts in his last 22.1 innings (three starts). He'll now face a Phillies team that has a .265 wOBA, 21.2 percent strikeout rate and 27.6 percent hard contact rate at home against left-handed pitchers over the last month. Additionally, Ray has a microscopic 0.64 ERA, .132 BAA and .184 wOBA allowed over 42.1 innings away from Chase Field.
Jacob deGrom, NYM vs. WAS ($10,600): deGrom has averaged 26.0 fantasy points per game in two starts against the Nationals this season, striking out 22 in 12.2 innings. He also bounced back from some struggles with a complete game against the Cubs in his last outing, scoring 31.4 fantasy points. deGrom has been markedly better at Citi Field this season as well, posting a respectable 3.35 ERA along with a .225 BAA and 11.47 K/9 in 37.2 innings.
CATCHER
Brian McCann, HOU vs. BOS ($4,300): Given his matchup against lefty David Price, McCann is likely to be a lower-owned option in tournaments. However, the Astros backstop has a .345 batting average, three homers and seven RBI over 30 plate appearances versus Price, as well as a .469 wOBA, .444 ISO and 202 wRC+ against southpaws this year. He's also gotten June off to an excellent start, posting a .426 wOBA, four homers (including one against lefty Drew Pomeranz on Friday) and 40.5 percent hard contact rate. Additionally, Price has allowed a .326 wOBA (including .390 on the road) and 5.65 xFIP against left-handed hitters
FIRST BASE
Lucas Duda, NYM vs. WAS ($3,400): Nationals starter Joe Ross has given up a .416 wOBA to left-handed hitters, including .488 on the road, while also yielding a 24.6 percent line drive rate, 30.0 percent HR/FB rate and 38.1 percent hard contact rate. Duda already has a pair of homers versus Ross in five career plate appearances, and he has a .401 wOBA, .318 ISO, 26.1 percent HR/FB rate and 48.9 percent hard contact rate against righties at Citi Field. He's also been punishing the ball in June, posting a 24.2 percent line drive rate and 57.6 percent hard contact rate in 54 plate appearances. The Nationals' bullpen has been just as friendly to lefty bats, as they've posted an 8.10 ERA while allowing a .425 wOBA and 45.5 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters on the road over the last month.
SECOND BASE
Jose Ramirez, CLE at MIN ($4,600): Ramirez went 5-for-10 during Saturday's doubleheader, including two doubles, two homers and four RBI, and he's now had multiple hits in five straight games. The switch-hitting Ramirez has also posted a .389 wOBA, seven homers, a 24.0 percent line drive rate and 34.1 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching, while Twins starter Kyle Gibson has allowed a .414 wOBA (including .463 at home), 5.84 xFIP and 40.6 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters. A tired Minnesota bullpen hasn't been much better, posting a 5.75 ERA while allowing 10 homers and a .354 wOBA to lefty bats in the last month. If Ramirez doesn't start Sunday, Scooter Gennett ($4,000) makes for a viable play.
THIRD BASE
Josh Donaldson, TOR vs. CWS ($4,700): White Sox starter James Shields, who allowed 24 home runs to right-handed hitters last year, will be making his first start since April 16 after spending the last several weeks recovering from a lat injury. He draws a tough matchup against a potent Jays squad at Rogers Centre, including Donaldson, who has a .430 wOBA, .342 ISO and 37.3 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching this season, including .489, .391 and 52.8 percent, respectively, overall this month. While Shields was excellent against righty bats over a modest 32-batter sample before getting injured, his unsustainable .059 BABIP has nowhere to go but up. Additionally, the White Sox's bullpen has posted a majors-high 7.02 ERA and allowed a .369 wOBA to right-handed hitters over the last month.
SHORTSTOP
Corey Seager, LAD at CIN ($4,500): Reds starter Bronson Arroyo has had a few surprisingly solid starts this season, but he was just blasted for nine earned runs on 13 hits against the Padres in his last outing. He draws a much more potent offense in the Dodgers on Sunday, with Seager poised to take advantage of the .442 wOBA that Arroyo has allowed to left-handed hitters. Arroyo's numbers against lefty bats include a 6.85 xFIP and massive 4.62 HR/9, while Seager boasts a .363 wOBA against righties on the road, along with a 27.6 percent line drive rate and 47.2 percent hard contact rate.
OUTFIELD
Eric Thames, MIL vs. SD ($4,800): Thames boasts a .428 wOBA versus right-handed pitching, along with a .336 ISO, 28.3 HR/FB rate and 43.1 percent hard contact rate. Meanwhile, opposing starter Luis Perdomo has allowed a .462 wOBA, 5.82 xFIP, 25.0 percent line drive rate and 34.4 percent hard contact rate to lefty bats on the road, and he's giving up a season-high 46.0 percent hard contact rate this month. Meanwhile, Padres relievers have allowed a .366 wOBA and posted a 5.49 ERA against left-handed hitters over the last month.
Jay Bruce, NYM vs. WAS ($4,700): The difficulties that Nationals starter Joe Ross and the Washington bullpen have had against left-handed hitters were detailed earlier, while Bruce comes in with six homers, a .439 wOBA, .373 ISO and 46.5 percent hard contact rate this month. He's also punished right-handed pitching this season, registering a .416 wOBA, 45.7 percent hard contact rate and 30.0 HR/FB rate.
Christian Yelich, MIA at ATL ($4,100): Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz has allowed a .397 wOBA, 5.40 xFIP, 25.7 percent line drive rate and 34.7 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters, while Yelich sports a solid .330 wOBA and 35.6 percent hard contact rate versus right-handed pitching. Notably, Yelich's line drive rate has seen a nice jump to 27.7 percent this month, which has predictably led to a .304 batting average and .332 wOBA that both rank as monthly bests for him this season.
