PITCHER
Kenta Maeda, LAD at CIN ($8,700): Maeda's longevity Sunday is tough to peg after making his most recent appearances out of the bullpen, and that paired with a 6.26 ERA on the road will likely have him with very low ownership. However, his 25.7 percent strikeout rate on the road offers some upside, and with the Reds set to dispatch Bronson Arroyo (7.01 ERA) to oppose Maeda, there's good win percentage. Despite his bullpen usage limiting his innings, Maeda has averaged 30.9 fantasy points per game over his last seven appearances.
CATCHER
Yan Gomes, CLE at MIN ($2,500): Gomes sat out Saturday, so he should be back in the lineup Sunday against the Twins' Kyle Gibson. He's hit safely in five of his last seven while driving in five in his last four starts, carries a respectable .318 wOBA against righties compared to his price, and is 9-of-18 with four extra-base hits in his career against Gibson.
FIRST BASE
Matt Carpenter, STL at BAL ($3,900): I'm not sure this pick is very original, as Carpenter is white hot, still not a top-priced option and has a juicy matchup. He has scored at least 12.4 fantasy points in six straight games, a result of his .445 wOBA, 178 wRC+ and .333 ISO in June. For good measure, Carpenter has a .412 wOBA, 156 wRC+ and .313 ISO on the road against righties in advance of facing O's starter Ubaldo Jimenez, who has an 8.85 ERA at home, where he's allowed lefties to post a .485 wOBA and hit four home runs (47 batters faced).
SECOND BASE
Josh Harrison, PIT vs. CHC ($3,000): Harrison is enjoying a fine June, posting a .411 wOBA and 158 wRC+ in 60 plate appearances. He comes slightly cheaper and at a non-premium position than his equally hot teammate Andrew McCutchen ($3,200), and he'll match up against the Cubs' John Lackey, who has a 5.50 ERA on the road and at least four earned runs in four of his last five outings, making it out of the fifth inning just twice.
THIRD BASE
Travis Shaw, MIL vs. SDP ($3,800): Shaw has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, including five multi-hit games, and he has a .397 wOBA and 142 wRC+ against righties. Meanwhile, Padres starter Luis Perdomo is allowing a .462 wOBA on the road to lefties, along with a 1.111 OPS.
SHORTSTOP
Francisco Lindor, CLE at MIN ($3,400): Lindor is showing signs of breaking out of his June funk, having hit safely in three straight and four of his last five. His .314 wOBA against righties is not in line with last season's .351 tally, and there's hope he can continue boosting that total Sunday against the aforementioned Gibson, whom he's 9-of-13 against with a 1.484 OPS.
OUTFIELD
Cody Bellinger, LAD at CIN ($3,900): Bellinger went 3-for-5 with a homer, double, three RBI and two runs scored Saturday and his price is unchanged. He'll now face Reds starter Bronson Arroyo, who has a 7.01 ERA while allowing lefties to post a .442 wOBA and 1.113 OPS, largely from the 13 long balls to 119 batters faced.
Michael Conforto, NYM vs. WAS ($3,200): Conforto has certainly fallen back to the pack over the last three-plus weeks, hitting just .158 with one homer in June. He's still managed to post a .318 wOBA this month, and has a .425 wOBA, 168 wRC+ and 1.028 OPS at home against righties overall. He's the highest-priced Mets bat, which alone speaks to his appeal against a struggling starter in Joe Ross, who has an 8.59 ERA on the road while allowing a .488 wOBA and 1.179 OPS to lefties.
Dexter Fowler, STL at BAL ($3,200): Fowler is in the midst of a hot June, homering in three straight games while owning a .429 wOBA and 168 wRC+ in 16 games. He's been much better against righties, posting a .362 wOBA and 124 wRC+ compared to .290/77, respectively, against southpaws, and we've already touched on how vulnerable O's starter Ubaldo Jimenez has been all season.
