The 25-year-old Brigham showed some promise at Double-A Frisco last year with 116 strikeouts in 124 innings. The problem was he gave up 46 walks and a whopping 19 home runs. The Cubs traded him back to the Rangers in November for Barrett Loux, where his chances of eventually breaking through in Texas are much better in the bullpen than as a member of the rotation.
